Who we are

The Dawes Road Hub offers a range of services for organisations seeking affordable, flexible office accommodation in a modern, professional environment.

It opened its doors in December 2012, following the purchase and extensive renovation of a Grade II listed former school building.

Our vision

Our vision is to create a thriving work space for charities, social businesses and enterprises.

Our charitable aims

We were founded with two aims:

  • To help clarities and voluntary groups in Fulham to reduce their running costs.
  • To create a space where the boundaries between community and business can be blurred.

We recognise that times are tough for charities with funding from local councils has dropped dramatically, and donations from members of the public are falling as families tighten their belts. Keeping running costs low is perhaps more important than ever.

At the same time, the charity sector and the business world are growing closer, and learning to speak each other’s language. The number of social enterprises is growing in number, with an estimated 70,000 in existence in 2013. Charities are also enthusiastically embracing more ‘business-like’ ways of operating efficiently.

At the Hub, we create an opportunity for organisations to share the same space and benefit from sharing their knowledge and experiences in order to help them to be successful.
